How the Foundation Operates

GCF is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. It invests the assets given by its donors and pays out a portion of the profits earned each year in the form of grants to its ministry partners. GCF’s holdings are endowed, which means the principle is never touched, providing a reoccurring source of income to distribute yearly.

GCF grants are distributed annually to domestic and international ministry partners who have demonstrated through an application process that they align with the vision and mission of Grace Church of Chapel Hill and GCF. Grace Church of Chapel Hill has committed to funding the initial administrative costs for GCF out of its general fund, so 100 percent of GCF donations are currently invested and proceeds are ready to be used for Kingdom ventures.
