Board of Trustees
GCF is run by a board of trustees composed of both elders of Grace Church and other members who have a heart to use GCF to spread the Kingdom of God. The board of trustees oversees all decisions regarding investment and distribution of funds as well as providing oversight to ensure that day to day operations of GCF run efficiently. The board is composed of:
Rocky Armstrong
Rock Armstrong has a BSEE degree from Texas Tech University and more than 30 years electronic and software engineering experience with companies such as Texas Instruments, Trimeris and some of RTPs most well known start-up to acquisition companies—Opensite Technology (Siebel Systems) and Art.com. Rocky has been a member of Grace Church for 9 years and active on the worship team and in family ministry. He is an elder of Grace Church. He and his wife, Shery, live in Durham with five of their children.
Curtis Campbell
Curtis Campbell has been at Grace Church for more than 19 years, including 15 years of involvement in the worship ministry. He has a heart for releasing finances for the purposes of advancing the Kingdom of God, particularly in the area of personal finance and financing international missions initiatives. For the past 11 years, he has worked in various data management capacities for Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI). He is currently a Manager of Clinical Data Operations and a Certified Clinical Data Manager (CCCDM). Curtis is single and lives in Durham.
Fred Connor - Vice-Chairman
Fred Connor has attended Grace Church since 2000. He is a Chapel Hill native and has owned and operated optical businesses since 1975. His latest, Optical Reflections, opened in 1998. Fred has a heart for business and marketplace ministry. He is committed to transferring resources from his business to advance the Kingdom of God, particularly in the area of local and international ministries. He served with the US Coast Guard in the Vietnam era for four years prior to attending the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He and his wife, Pat, have two daughters and live in Orange County.
Erin Crossfield
Erin has been a member of Grace Church since 2000 and is actively involved the children's ministry. A graduate of the University of Rochester in New York and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she is the senior program and policy analyst for the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency, the state agency which finances affordable housing. Her kingdom desire is to glorify God by directing the resources of the body to help alleviate the body's needs. Erin lives in Durham.
Matthew Everson - Secretary
With his desire to fund Kingdom projects, Matthews work on the launch and running of GCF has fit well with his heart for ministry. Matthew Everson lives in Chapel Hill, NC and has attended Grace Church for 17 years. He has a BA in Mathematics and Political Science from University of North Carolina and is currently enrolled in the Duke University Masters of Economics program.
Steve Grenon - Treasurer
Steve Grenon received his BSEE degree from Northeastern University and has worked in the area of medical device development for more than 20 years. He has worked in both large and small companies ranging from Hewlett Packard to entrepreneurial startups. He now works at a local startup company called TearScience where he is Vice President of Research and Development. Steve has been a member of Grace Church since 1999 and is currently serving as an elder. He and his wife, Sue, live in Durham with three of their children.
Tiffanee Gwaltney
Tiffanee has been a member of Grace Church since 2002 and is actively involved with the junior high youth ministry. A graduate of North Carolina State University, she has worked in the Triangle business community for 8 years. She is currently the Vice President of Education & Finance for the Cary Chamber of Commerce. Tiffanee and her husband, Jeremy, live in Durham and have one child.
Will McFarlane
Will McFarlane has been a pastor and an elder at Grace Church since 2000. Prior to that, he was a pastor in Muscle Shoals, Alabama for 20 years. He has a heart to spread Godly worship and equip others to use their musical gifts in the church. Will is also a professional musician and has spent much of his life touring and recording throughout the country. For six years, Will toured with Bonnie Rait before settling down in Alabama. Currently, Will ministers locally and nationally, speaking at churches, music conferences, and youth conferences. He and his wife, Janet, have three kids and live in Durham, NC.
Jim Reklis
Jim Reklis has been a pastor with Grace Churce since 1989 and before that in Minnesota and Arkansas. A significant role in his ministry has been to mobilize people and resources for advancing Gods Kingdom locally, regionally and internationally. His experience includes planting churches locally and internationally, training and sending missionaries, working with international partners, serving as a board member of ARC ministries (Assisting Romanian Churches). He currently serves as the missions pastor of Grace Church and lives in Orange County with his wife, Phyllis.
Craig Stapel
Craig has been a member of Grace Church since 2000. He is CEO of Encore Marketing Group, Inc., a nationwide sales and marketing outsourcing company. Craig is a seasoned sales and marketing executive with over 20 years of experience in developing and leading sales initiatives that produce results. The breadth of his executive experience includes acting as the CEO of the first competitive telephone company in Wisconsin, the Vice-President of sales and marketing for a Chicago based CLEC, and Executive Vice President of a regional telephone company based in North Carolina, before starting Encore Marketing Group, Inc. in 2001. Craig, his wife Maureen and Daughter Gabriella live in Hillsborough NC.
Kendrick Vinar - Chairman
Kendrick Vinar is the Chair of the Board of Trustees and has been the Senior Pastor at Grace Church since 2005. He has pastored churches in Minnesota and North Carolina for 13 years. Kendrick graduated from St. Olaf College with a B.A. in religion and mathematics. He also has a M.A. in education from St. Thomas University. Before becoming a pastor, he was a high school math and physics teacher. Kendrick and his wife, Nana, live in Chapel Hill with their five children.
Bob Watson
Bob Watson is a full time New Testament Prophet, based out of Grace Church in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He has been an elder of Grace Church since 1990 and is a part of Grace Churches International (GCI). Well traveled nationally and internationally, he equips believers through conferences, seminars, workshops and prophetic ministry. He provides prophetic oversight for a number of churches and his heart is to see the body of Christ come into a greater awareness of Gods love and develop the ability to hear Gods voice with greater clarity. He and his wife, Darlene, live in Elon.
